1991. Natural and cultural resources management plan: Chiricahua National Monument
The management objectives are: 1) To identify, protect, and perpetuate the geological formation, flora, fauna, and wilderness values. 2) To preserve and manage lands designated as wilderness. 3) In cooperation with the Forest Service, to manage fire as a natural process affecting ecological resource conditions in the monument. 4) To work with outside agencies and lanowners to eliminate adverse impacts to monument resources. 5) To restore natural qualities to impacted sites within the monument. 6) To preserve the scenic qualities of the monument; to protect and preserve air quality related values. 7) To develop a baseline of air quality information and provide an early warning detection for air quality impacts. 8) To identify, preserve, and interpret the aspects of human activities and events. 9) To seek and gather objects and information which have significance to the monument's cultural resources.
