This is a revised planning overview document for John Muir National Historic Site. It proposes research and management actions to preserve cultural resources of the historic site and to perpetuate natural resources that reflect whenever possible the historic scene. This concerns preservation of structures and artifacts, protection and perpetuation of historic vegetation and management of reintroduced orchard and plant species that existed in Muir's time. The plan documents completed research and actions which serve as a basis for the future management of the site's resources.
