The Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site is the 175 acre site of her former home, Val-Kill. This study was undertaken to 1. identify Val-Kill's natural resources, 2. help develop management alternatives for certain natural resources at Val-Kill, 3.establish baseline data for future monitoring studies, 4. indicate resource-related problems which could affect preservation and use of Val-Kill's historic structures. It includes an assessment of the terrestrial and aquatic ecosytems of the site, a study of the water supply, and management options.
