Natural resources management plan and management program, Lassen Volcanic
Lassen Volcanic National Park, California. 1984. Natural resources management plan and management program, Lassen Volcanic. 341. National Park Service, Department of the Interior
The natural resources management plan for Lassen Volcanic National Park proposes research and management actions to accomplish management objectives for the park. Resource management is approached in three ways: terrestrial ecosystems, aquatic ecosystems, and human use. Proposed actions are grouped into a research and monitoring or a management category. Research and monitoring proposals are designed to provide inventories of basic park resources, classify ecological types and monitor resources to detect effects of management and use. Management actions include elimination of grazing, promoting natural dispersal of bears, controlling conditions that are hazardous to people and property and restoring natural habitats and processes.
