This is an analysis of eleven streams containing populations of the Rio Grande cutthroat trout (Salmo clarki virginalis) on the Santa Fe National Forest, NM. Streams were measured for chemical quality, temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, and aquatic macroinvertebrates. The factors influencing degradation of stream habitat is discussed, such as erosion and grazing practices. Streams are described in terms of accessibility, fisherman use, topography, bank and aquatic vegetation, and land use. Includes lists of benthic macroinvertebrates identified to family.
