A New Species of Cymopterus (Umbelliferae) from Southern Idaho

Hartman RL. 1985. A New Species of Cymopterus (Umbelliferae) from Southern Idaho. Brittonia. 37(1):102-105

A new species, Cymopterus davisii, from alpine areas in the Albion Mountains of extreme south-central Idaho, is described. It has been confused with C. nivalis, with which it is compared. The fruit of C. davisii are subterete to somewhat compressed laterally and, contrary to the literature, correspond closely to those of C. nivalis and related species. Makes reference to snow spring-parsley in Great Basin National Park.
