Notes on Plecotus rafinesquii in central Kentucky

Some fragmentary life history information was obtained for Plecotus rafinesquii, the big-eared bat, during a study of bat populations conducted between October 1956 and March 1960 in and near Mammoth Cave National Park. Twenty-eight caves were investigated in winter and 34 in summer. Numbers of bats in observed colonies by season, notes on the colony habitat, notes on temperature, and measurements of individuals collected are listed.
