Data on water chemistry and aquatic biology were collected from 1973 to 1975 on Redwood Creek and several tributaries draining logged areas. Parallel data from two streams draining virgin forest areas provide a basis for comparison. The first section discusses the water chemistry, with tables of plant nutrients and other data. Species lists are given for benthic invertebrates, phytoplankton, and periphyton; also, 6 species of fish were found. Other tables contain seston analyses and coliform bacteria counts. Surface and intragravel water conditions were found to differ between logged and virgin areas, with fine sediment from logged areas interfering with surface/intragravel interchange.
