From May, 1975, to May, 1976, feral burros (Equus asinus) were studied to detect movements around the Alamo Allotment, Santa Fe National Forest, and Bandelier National Monument. This is a preliminary report; the final report is a Master's Thesis by J. R. Morgart entitled 'Burro Behavior and Population Dynamics, Bandelier National Monument, New Mexico'. Natality, mortality, population distribution, food habits, social organization, home range, and seasonal movements were recorded.
