Observations on Yellowstone Elk
Mills HB. 1936. Observations on Yellowstone Elk. Journal of Mammalogy. 17(3):250-253
During the reduction of the Yellowstone herd of elk, undertaken early in 1935, the author was afforded unusual opportunities to study the parasites, diseases, and pregnancy of this animal. At the time there was maintained a careful check of the animals slaughtered, and this report constitutes a summary of the results.
