This paper discusses the hanging gardens; the geomorphology and geography of the gardens; aspects of species diversity and distribution; and algal and principal vascular plants species. Plant productivity aspects and animal trapping studies are reviewed. The areas studied within Zion National Park are Weeping Rock, Narrows Trail, North Fork of the Virgin River, Parunuweap Canyon.
