Publication of articles on the cutthroat trout began before the turn of the century, after explorations in the Intermountain Region had brought several forms of the cutthroat to the attention of fishery workers. The present compilation brings together 135 abstracts of papers which deal with the biology, culture, distribution, and management of the cutthroat. Twenty-seven zoological names proposed for the cutthroats are listed, and 70 vernacular names, taken from the litrature, are presented.
