A study concerned with the impacts of Hurricanes Opal and Erin on the morphology of Santa Rosa Island in the Gulf Islands National Seashore, Florida and Mississippi. The storm intensity and morphological impacts of Hurricanes Erin and Opal are discussed. The morphology of the beaches and dunes was measured from previously established cross-island transects. There are figures showing beach and dune morphology before and after Erin, and after Opal. Maps show the courses of hurricanes and tropical storms in the Gulf of Mexico during 1995.
