This study compared seedling establishment and survival in four burned out ponderosa pine (Pinus ponderosa) forests in northern New Mexico. The postfire study sites were at the La Mesa Fire at Bandelier National Monument, the Porter Fire and Cat Fire in the Santa Fe National Forest, and the Ruedas Fire which lies northeast of Truchas, NM.
