The purpose of this study was to gain some conception of the amount of variation that may be expected in several localized populations of Rana pretiosa pretiosa in Yellowstone Park, Wyoming. An attempt was made to determine the influence, if any, of age, sex, season, or geographic distribution on variation in pigmentation. Sixty-nine frogs were collected in 1954 and 71 frogs in 1955.
