This report describes research activities during the third year of a five-year post-burn vegetation sampling project on Isle Royale. The objectives for this year were: (1) to complete the study of plant communities of the exposed rocky shores of Lake Superior, (2) to continue the annual sampling of vegetation invading two recent burns, (3) to continue with the Isle Royale National Park flora project involving the complete listing of all vascular flora of Isle Royale with information on the relative abundance and habitat preference of all species, and (4) to continue making observations on the effect of moose and beaver on the park vegetation.
