This is an analysis of four biotic communities that occur at Coronado National Memorial: Oak-Mexican Pinyon Pine (Pinus discolor)-Juniper Woodland Association (most extensive community), Grama Grass (Bouteloua species)-Mixed Grass-Mixed Shrub Grassland Association, Western Honey Mesquite (Prosopis glandulosa)-Mixed Short Tree Woodland Association, and Arizona Sycamore (Platanus wrightii)-Arizona Walnut (Juglans major)-Oak Riparian Forest Association. The effects of the Peak Fire of June 1988 and other changes are described for 10 vegetation monitoring plots in the Memorial. An updated vascular plant list is included.
