Looked at Cittarium pica (West Indian topshell) and its commensal limpet (Acmaea leucopleura). Looked at size of topshells, and day vs. night-time populations. Photographed study quadrats (in Greater Lameshur Bay and Europa Bay) for future monitoring use. Compared results with previous studies. This research paper is a population study of Cittarium pica and it's commensal limpet,Acmaea leucopleura. This is a study not highly publicized on and it started in 1959 by Helen A. Randall. It was then picked up on in 1973,1974,1975,1980,1980,1982, and 1984 by various Gustavus students. This study was intended to monitor the effects of whelking on the population of the topshell in Greater Lameshur Bay,Europa Bay, And around West White Point.
