The author explores how seasonal changes in water levels, as common in tropical marshes such as in Everglades National Park, affect the populations of individual fish species (on both a seasonal and long-term basis). The project's scope was from June 1966 to May of 1972; its area of study was a sawgrass marsh in the southern Everglades. The article contains a number of tables and charts which illustrate the fluctuations of both species and numbers of fish trapped during the study period.
