Two plant species native to the Jemez Mountains, NM, were exposed to different concentrations of hydrogen sulfide gas for various time periods. Following the procedure measurements were made of the dry weights and water content of the topgrowth, leaf nitrogen content, and leaf chlorophyll content. The plants studied were little bluestem (Schizachyrium scoparium) and mountain brome (Bromus marginatus).
