This report will describe research efforts of the past year on the study of the ecology of ground cover species of the boreal forest type of ISRO and a study of two recent burns. Emphasis of the ground cover study was on relating vascular ground cover species to successional stages of the forest. Use was made of approximately 250 plots which had been previously set up for our study of succession and tree seedling establishment. This report will also summarize the results, to date, of these studies.
