The family biotic index scores suggested that the "good" water quality in Pipestone Creek had changed little since 1992. In addition, two indices for upper Pipestone Creek and all of the indices for lower Pipestone Creek indicated increased water quality form the reference year of 1989. However, these indices may not accurately depict the "true water quality of Pipestone Creek and should be considered as rough estimates, due to the number of sample periods and the time of year.
