Sherald JL, Stidham JM, Hadidian JM, Hoeldtke JE. 1995. Progression of the dogwood anthracnose epidemic and the status of the flowering dogwood in Catoctin Mountain Park. Plant Disease

This is the draft of an article in press about a survey of the impact of dogwood anthracnose on the flowering dogwood trees in Catoctin Mountain Park, MD. The study was in follow-up to surveys in 1984 and 1988 conducted on study plots in the park. In 10 years there has been a 94% loss in dogwoods in the study plots. An estimate of loss in the entire park was obtained using previous park vegetation surveys.
