Report on a study of genetic variations in 11 species of kangaroo rats (Dipodomys) found in the western United States, and one species of pocket-mouse (Perognathus hispidus). Specimens of Dipodomys ordii were collected at Padre Island National Seashore, Texas, and are discussed in this article.
