SNP:FISH Shenandoah National Park: Fish in sensitive habitats Project Final Report - Volume IV: Stream bioassays, aluminum toxicity, species richness and stream chemistry, and models of susceptibility to acidification
Bulger AJ, Cosby BJ, Dolloff CA, Eshleman KN, Webb JR, Galloway JN. 1999. SNP:FISH Shenandoah National Park: Fish in sensitive habitats Project Final Report - Volume IV: Stream bioassays, aluminum toxicity, species richness and stream chemistry, and models of susceptibility to acidification. National Park Service
Volume 4 of a 4-volume set. "The objectives of SNP:FISH (Shenandoah National Park: Fish in Sensitive Habits) were: 1) to describe the water chemistry, physical habitat, and fish communities in selected streams in the Shenandoah National Park (SNP) in Virginia; 2) to determine if and how fish communities in these streams are influence by stream acidification; and 3) to use current physical, chemical, and biological data to predict future trends in acidification and effects on stream biota." Volume 4 consists of chapter 6A (Susceptibility of the early life stages of brook trout, Salvelinus fontinalis, and adult blacknose dace, Rhinichthys atratulus, to acidification in Shenandoah National Park, chapter 6B (Susceptibility of blacknose dace, Rhinichthys atratulus, to acidification in Shenandoah National Park, chapter 6C (Stream chemistry and fish species richness in Shenandoah National Park), and chapter 7 (Modelling the biological effects of water quality changes in the streams of the FISH catchments).
