'This count aids scientists to determine how the populations of birds of prey are doing so their numbers do not drop to dangerous levels like they were in the first half of the 1900's.' This is a two page report with numerous tables of various statistics summarizing data. Hawkwatch was conducted daily form August-October from 9 am to 2 pm, with some reports into November. A toal of 2,676 migrating raptors flew past the site. Summary results of the 2005 hawkwatch in Acadia National Park are included, tables of data that give the number of each species observed on each day in August , September, and October. /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /MOUNT DESERT ISLAND/Cadillac Mountain/
