Studied both short-term trends and alongshore trends at Sand Beach. Noted that after summer buildup of sand (especially in the west), there is eastward transport along the beach face in winter, thence (they infer) a westward return of sand via the nearshore, with onshore transport in the summer being greatest at the western beach. They conclude that Sand Beach was in a state of dynamic equilibrium during 1982-90 because the envelope of beach change at the center site in 1989-90 surrounds the beach face measurements of 1982-1988. Included: field notebook with handwritten data.
