A description of Ixodid tick distribution and Lyme disease infection within Acadia National Park along mid-coastal· Maine during 1989- 90. INSECTS & ARACHNIDS: Examined tick distribution and Lyme disease infection in Acadia National Park. 189 ticks of 4 species were collected and 2 of 81 ticks analyzed were infected with the Lyme disease spirochete. One tick was collected from Schoodic and none were noted from Isle au Haut /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /MOUNT DESERT ISLAND/SCHOODIC PENINSULA/ISLE AU HAUT/ GIS-CATEGORY 2 ; Insects: Contains a map showing distribution of ticks on Mount Desert Island
