Operating a boat has inherent dangers and therefore certain precautions must be taken in order to maintain the safety of the boat operator and boat passengers. The safety requirements include, but are not limited to, sufficient operator skill level, proper safety equipment, and safe weather and sea conditions. Certain guidelines also must be followed during the operation of the watercraft.This SOP applies to the operation of both motorized and non-motorized watercraft, and must be read in its entirety prior to commencing fieldwork.is Standard Operating Procedure explains/details the procedure involved in handling an on-duty or job-related injury or illness. This SOP should be read prior to implementing fieldwork and a copy kept in all vehicles for quick reference.
