A Historic Landscape of Rosemary Inn at Olympic National Park. Located on Barnes Point along the south shore of Lake Crescent, Rosemary Inn sits in the middle of what is becoming a very active corner of Olympic National Park on the Olympic Peninsula, Washington. Recognizing that the recent historic pattern of Barnes Point was one of high human use and its accompanying culture, the National Park Service plans to concentrate the greatest development in this section of the 12 mile long lake. At present Barnes Point accommodates a number of uses including the newly rebuilt Storm King Ranger Station, a boat landing, ranger and private residential areas, a number of day use and parking areas, and Lake Crescent Lodge (with future plans for expansion). Lake Crescent Lodge is located directly to the west of Rosemary and to the east are private cottages (inholdings) and park service residences. Immediately to the south is a densely wooded tract of land which buffers old Highway 101 from view and sound.
