Granger W. Gulf Coast Network Inventory and Monitoring Landbird Monitoring Pilot Project. 2010-2016. National Park Service

This document includes an unpublished report as supplemental information to the protocol narrative for Monitoring Breeding Landbirds in National Parks of the Gulf Coast Network (GULN 2018). First, there is a description of the pilot bird monitoring effort in GULN parks from 2010-2016, including the pros and cons of using that approach for the final design. Second, there is a description of the final, modified design, also with pros and cons. Third, there is an explanation of how the pilot design was modified to produce the final design for long-term monitoring. Data are collected in standard formats and are entered into the GULN Landbird Monitoring Database: https://irma.nps.gov/GULN/LandBirds/
