Maintained Trails of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks

Folger K. 2014. Maintained Trails of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Sequoia And Kings Canyon National Parks

This trails database represents the trails found within the boundaries of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. In a few cases, some trails that are outside the boundaries of both parks are included for various reasons, but primarily to maintain continuity of trails in and around these Parks boundaries. The data originated as DLG data created by the USGS and has received significant modifications since 1996. Modifications include both spatial changes, additions and trail deletions, and significant attribute changes to line segments. Informal and abandoned trails are not included in this release. It should not be considered 100 percent accurate and may contain errors. This database will continue to be updated as new or improved data is acquired. In 2014 the data was migrated into the NPS GIS Trails Centerline draft standard with some SEKI additions, using Federal Trails Data Standard fields where available.
