National Park Service. 2005. Cultural Landscape Report: Longmire Historic District, Mount Rainier National Park. Cultural Landscape Report

The Longmire Historic District, located within Mount Rainier National Park, is a park development that reflects the master planning process and the Rustic architectural style that typified National Park Service (NPS) development during the 1920s and 1930s. Treatment decisions for the Longmire cultural landscape have been determined through the park planning process via the General Management Plan (GMP). The GMP calls for preservation and rehabilitation of cultural resources within Longmire.
