Nisqually Road Vista Management Plan, Mount Rainier National Park

Hankinson M, Stromberg G, Dolan S. 2002. Nisqually Road Vista Management Plan, Mount Rainier National Park. Cultural Landscape Report

The road examined in this report begins at the Nisqually Entrance Station and ends at the terminus of the Paradise loop road. This report serves as a pilot project for the park’s long range goal to develop a management plan for the entire National Historic Landmark District. This report identifies historic and non-historic vista pullouts along Nisqually Road and prescribes vegetation clearing treatments in addition to addressing some other vista management issues. These include safety, interpretation, and resource issues, and social trail and road shoulder revegetation needs.
