Hot Springs National Park: Cultural Landscape and Environmental Assessment, National Park Service. Cultural Landscape Report. U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Midwest Regional Office. Omaha, Nebraska
The combined Cultural Landscape Report and Environmental Assessment (CLR/EA) is intended to guide treatment and use of above ground resources associated with the significant historic landscapes at Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas. An investigation and evaluation of the historic landscapes has been conducted using National Park Service and National Register of Historic Places guidelines. This documentation of significance and evaluation of integrity of the historic landscapes serves as a framework upon which treatment recommendations are based. Bathhouse Row, one of the park's most prominent historic landscapes, is a National Historic Landmark. In addition to Bathhouse Row, the park contains several other potentially eligible historic landscapes. The CLR provides an understanding of the historic development of the landscapes to evaluate their significance and provide treatment recommendations. The EA analyzes the impacts on the natural and cultural environment of each of the treatment alternatives.
