This report expands on the architectural recommendations for the reconstruction of the McLean House Slave Quarters in Part I, Historic Structures Report, Architectural Data Section (November 1963). Because of the lack of adequate photographs and sketches of the historic structure, Clover Hill Tavern was used as a precedent for dimensional size, and other log structures in the Appomattox area provided examples for architectural details. It is recommended that the McLean House Slave Quarters be reconstructed based on the preliminary drawings included with this document. Description of the work is given divided into sections based on type of construction and area of the structure.
