This survey report for the restoration and rehabilitation of the Tavern and Guest House at Appomattox Court House village contains sheets with administrative and architectural data, followed by a narrative of the physical history, existing conditions, and proposed work. Supporting documents, illustrations, and drawings are included. The report is, in part, a summation of work of the 1956 Student Measuring Team. The team made physical investigations of the building, compared similar structures, and searched for pertinent documentary material. The Tavern Kitchen and Guest House is one of the buildings comprising the Clover Hill stand at Appomattox Court House Village National Historical Park. The report describes the history of the structure's ownership, alterations, and use. The proposed work addresses its use, details of reconstruction, and mechanical and electrical systems.
