NCPN’s collaboration with MCB was intended to provide access to regional trends, as well as trend information based solely on locations in park units. Thus, the unit of analysis for this objective is both the regional scale and the sites within NCPN park units. The sampling objective of this protocol is an 80% probability of detecting a 3% decline in species density over a 30-year period, with a Type I error rate of 10%.
