This document reports on the historic landscape of the Faraway Ranch at Chiricahua National Monument in southeastern Arizona. The ranch house is on the National Register of Historic Places, and the 1984 Historic Structures Report studied the archeology, buildings, and structures of Faraway Ranch. The purpose of this report is to provide the NPS with a restorative planting plan for the site. Additionally, existing vegetation has been mapped and identified. This process was accomplished in four phases: this included assessing existing vegetation, comparison to historic conditions, and overlaying the Existing Vegetation Plan with the Restorative Vegetation Plan. The document includes historical context, inventory of existing vegetation, plant information sheets, and plans.
