This Part Two Cultural Landscape Report contains treatment recommendations for seven component landscapes at Grant-Kohr Ranch National Historic Site (GRKO): Home Ranch Complex, East Feed Lot / Warren Hereford Ranch, Grant-Kohrs Residence, Warren Residence, Riparian Woodland, Railroad Corridor and Barrow Pit / Wetland, and Development Zone. Two additional component landscapes of the Grant-Kohrs cultural landscape are addressed in a 2009 CLR, Part Two. the basis of this report is the 2004 Cultural Landscape Report Part One, the main source of documentation for site history, significance, existing condition, and contributing features. Chapter 1 summarizes the historical significance and integrity of Grant-Kohr Ranch and provides a brief physical description of the seven component landscapes included in this document. Contributing landscape features and patterns are identified for each component landscape. Chapter 2 describes the overall treatment approach for the GRKO cultural landscape, and identifies management issues to be addressed by the treatment plan. The management philosophy is identified in this chapter in accordance with the treatment philosophy established in the CLR Part Two Pasture/Hay Field and Upland Pasture. Chapter 3 presents general treatment guidance and specific treatment recommendations for the seven component landscapes. These are organized by landscape characteristic (e.g. circulation, vegetation, etc.) and are illustrated graphically.
