Historic Structures Report, Part I, Architectural Data Section: Rehabilitation of Glenmont (Bldg. 10)
Bevin NP. 1964. Historic Structures Report, Part I, Architectural Data Section: Rehabilitation of Glenmont (Bldg. 10). Historic Structure Report. U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service
This report evaluates the present condition of the exterior and interior fabric of Glenmont and makes recommendations for repairs and restoration of deteriorated/deteriorating portions of the structure. The report divides analysis by exterior, interior, and mechanical concerns. Extensive recommendations are made for the conservatory (room #101) and the sun porch (room #202). The conservatory is suggested to return to its earlier, open porch appearance, with rotted flooring replaced. The sun porch is suggested to be removed, restoring the open deck and railing. The report goes room-by-room, noting any damage and recording its status. The report also includes architectural drawings and condition photographs.
