This report is the second part of the 1959 Historic Structures Report and Furnishing Plan for the Fort Clatsop Replica. It follows up on the investigations proposed in the earlier report, discovering fairly conclusive evidence that the original fort buildings were constructed running east-wet, instead of the present north-south, which in all likelihood would place the main gate facing the Lewis and Clark River to the East. It also follows up on the archaeological investigation conducted on the site, which found no artifacts that could be definitively associated with the Lewis and Clark expedition. The report also includes a proposed floor plan for the replica fort.
