Historic Structure Report, Architectural Data: William Anderson Buildings (Bldg. 11 and 11a)

Stevens SL. 1975. Historic Structure Report, Architectural Data: William Anderson Buildings (Bldg. 11 and 11a). Historic Structure Report. U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service. Denver Service Center, Denver, Colorado

Harpers Ferry National Historical Park preserves historic resources and commemorates the historic events that occurred at and around Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. The park consists of portions of the Lower Town, the former Storer College campus, landscapes associated with the national historical park’s Civil War significance, and lands preserving the historic viewshed down the Potomac River. This historic structure report concerns the William Anderson Buildings (bldgs. 11 and 11A) at Harpers Ferry. Buildings 11 and 11A are part of project package 110, and are located in the Lower Town historic district of Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. The report recommends immediate structural work, finding the floor systems in extremely poor condition, as well as interior work to make the spaces more usable for park activities.
