Harpers Ferry National Historical Park preserves historic resources and commemorates the historic events that occurred at and around Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. The park consists of portions of the Lower Town, the former Storer College campus, landscapes associated with the national historical park’s Civil War significance, and lands preserving the historic viewshed down the Potomac River. This restoration feasibility design report concerns the William Anderson Houses (Bldgs. 11 and 11A) and Stephenson Building (Bldgs. 12 and 12a) in the Lower Town area of Harpers Ferry. The document primarily concerns the foundations, exterior walls, and floor systems of these four historic pre-Civil War buildings. As a resu It of this study, it is concluded that the proposed restoration of Buildings 11, 11lA, 12 and 12A is feasible and recommendations providing guidance for implementing this restoration are presented herein.
