"The two BAC Bi-Annual Newsletters that were planned to be published were successfully produced. Ms. Filly Carabit (Administrative Assistant) was re-assigned to assume all duties and responsibilities of Public Education section until Historic Preservation Specialist and Public Education Officer (Ms. Loyola Darius) completed her under graduate studies in Kyoto, Japan. Ms. Carabit continued to work hard by making sure these newsletters are compiled, edited and printed. She successfully compiled, edited and prepared the final layout of the two newsletters. The first newsletter volume 23, Issue 2, July – December 2008 were brought to Tia Belau for printing. The second newsletter volume 24, Issue 1, January – June 2009 were brought to Palau Horizon for printing. 200 copies of Volume 23, Issue 2, July – December 2008 were printed. Also 200 copies of Volume 24, Issue 1, January – June 2009 were printed. Copies of these newsletters were widely distributed for public information. Recipients of these two newsletters are: Office of the President, Office of Vice President, Chief Justice and Associate Judges at the Judiciary Branch of the National Government, 13 Senators and 16 Delegates at the National Congress, Ministers and Directors in Executive Branch of the National Government, 16 state Governors, and affiliated agencies. Rest of the copies will be displayed at the office of Palau Historic Preservation for the general public use." Project funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Bureau of Arts and Culture, Palau Historic Preservation Office, Government of Palau, Republic of Palau, administered by the Pacific West Regional Office, National Park Service, U.S. Department of Interior (grant no. 70-08-21762).
