CAFAM III, led by cultural activist and veteran photographer Vernard Gray, is seeking to collect and preserve the images taken by photographers who contributed to the Poor People's Campaign of 1968. This is a documentary of the exhibition, the purpose of which is to memorialize the work of his fellow creatives while capturing oral histories of them and members of the general public. Project funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant to the District of Columbia Historic Preservation Office, Office of Planning, administered by the State, Tribal, Local Plans and Grants division, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior (grant number P17AF00101).
