Introduction: "This End of Year Report summarizes the accomplishments and challenges of the Survey and Inventory/Archaeology Section. It provides an effort of enhancing the value to protect and preserve Palau's tangible and intangible heritage with the means of education and public awareness through the Section's role and responsibility to implement the standard operations for the Cultural and Historical Properties Inventory through systematic measures in compliance with the Secretary's Standard of the US Historic Preservation Program and to ensure that all services are readily available to the public." Project funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Palau Historic Preservation Office, Bureau of Cultural and Historical Preservation, Ministry of Community & Cultural Affairs, administered by the Pacific West Regional Office, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior.
