This SOP documents data collection for overall plant species diversity and tree seedling/sapling counts in nested subplots within the 20 m x 20 m plot. Quantitative data are collected in eight sets of nested subplots, the 10 x 10 m module, and the entire 20 m x 20 m plot following a modified Carolina Vegetation Survey approach (Lee et al. 2008).
