This is the Energy and Water Conservation Plan for Fort Tilden. This report documents opportunities to save money through more efficient use of electricity, other fuels and water in these facilities. Fort Tilden was a former military base located on Rockaway Inlet just south of Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn, NY. Is is now owned by the National Park Service. The survey at Fort Tilden encompassed fourteen buildings totaling approximately 69,100 square feet. The oldest building is 84 years old and the newest is 50 years old. Included in the survey is the 21,000 square foot Rockaway Station. This building is part of a Coast Guard complex that is being turned over to the Park Service. Future plans may include leasing to an outside firm.
