Aquatic Macroinvertebrate Monitoring in the Northern Great Plains Network
Rosse A, Paintner-Green K, Northern Great Plains Inventory and Monitoring Network. Aquatic Macroinvertebrate Monitoring in the Northern Great Plains Network. 1989. National Park Service
The Northern Great Plains Network monitors population structure and composition at one National Park Service units, Agate Fossil Beds National Monument. Our objective is to provide park managers with the data necessary to: (1) determine the annual status of the stream macroinvertebrate community structure to estimate stream water quality, (2) compare current estimates with those of other years, and (3) make periodic summaries and interpretive reports on the long-term trends as monitoring is carried out over time.
